1937 May Incorporated.
1960 February Production and sales of printed circuit boards (PCBs) start.
1968 March Merges with ELNA ELECTONICS CO., LTD. (main products, aluminum electrolytic capacitors)
1970 June Company name is changed to ELNA CO., LTD.
December The company's stock is listed in the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1977 March The sales company ELNA AMERICA INC. is establshed in the USA.
1979 July The sales company ELNA ELECTRONICS SINGAPORE (P) LTD. is established in Singapore.
October AOMORI CONDENSER CO., LTD. (now ELNA TOHOKU CO., LTD.) is established at Kuroishi, Aomori Prefecture.
1980 January MATSUMOTO PRINT CO., LTD. (now ELNA MATSUMOTO., LTD.) is established at Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture.
February The joint venture TANIN CONDENSER CO., LTD. (now TANIN ELNA CO., LTD.) is established in Thailand.
1984 August ASAHI GLASS CO., LTD. becomes the largest shareholder in the company.
1995 March Joint venture ELNA-SONICS SDN. BHD. is established in Malaysia.
April Joint venture ELNA PCB (M) SDN. BHD. is established in Malaysia.
1996 September The sales company ELNA EUROPE LTD. is established in The UK.
December The sales company ELNA (HK) CO. LTD. is established in China(Hongkong).
2000 June Joint venture ELNA-LELON ELECTRONICS (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. is established in China.

2006 April Allocation of New Shares to a Third Party to the Fund which Japan Industrial Partners, Inc. manages. Japan Industrial Fund Ⅱ becomes the largest shareholder in the company.
